De Gooyer is a tower mill on the Amsterdam Funenkade, near the Zeeburgerstraat / corner of the Sarphatistraat, between the Nieuwe Vaart and the Singelgracht. According to some sources, the mill owes its name to the fact that its height affords it a view of Het Gooi, while other sources claim that the name comes from two former owners…
