About "Scaffolding at Cape North (Texel) at sunrise"

About the artwork

The jetty of the Wadden ferry, the ferry from Texel to Vlieland, is a much visited point by tourists. Because it is close to a beach pavilion (Cape North) many people come. In the summer there is a pontoon on which the ferry " The Friendship " can moor. With "De Vriendschap" also trips are made to the sandbanks where the seals are resting.
In the autumn the pontoon will be removed and a little later the boards will be removed as well. This picture was taken exactly between those last two moments: the pontoon is gone but the boards are still on it. The sun rises behind the jetty. Normally a camera would expose in the background, causing the sky to turn deep red. As a result, the foreground is depicted as a silhouette. This picture is composed of 5 different exposures. By merging these together, the details have returned in both the light background and the dark foreground.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
