About "Schermbloem in spinrag"

About the artwork

In het vroege ochtend licht, langs de rivier de Lek, zag ik deze uitgebloeide schermbloem staan. De stengels zaten vol met spinrag waarop dauwdruppeltjes zich hadden afgezet welke lang bleven zitten omdat er een dikke mist hing. In het tegenlicht maakte ik er deze close-up van.
In de uiterwaarden langs de rivier de Lek, op de Lekdijk tussen Nieuwegein en Lopikerkapel, waar ik deze foto maakte, groeit uiteraard van alles, waaronder dit soort schermbloemen. Het is juist deze soort die in uitgebloeide staat nog mooi is om te fotograferen. Zeker in de omstandigheden waaronder ik deze hier aantrof, namelijk onder het spinrag waar dauwdruppels an hingen. De dauwdruppeltjes geven de bloem iets zuivers, iets extra puur natuurlijks, nieuwe schoonheid. Als je oog er eenmaal op is gevallen, zie je er steeds meer staan. Voor het uiteindelijke beeld koos ik voor een eenvoudig enkel exemplaar. De kleurzwemen op de achtergrond verraden het vroege zonlicht op een koude mistige ochtend.
Deze foto maakt deel uit van de expositie 'Omgeving IJsselstein', welke is/was te zien in februari en maart 2016 in de bibliotheek van IJsselstein (Utrecht).

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
