The Schiessentümpel is a small, picturesque waterfall in the Black Ernz. With its artful stone bridge and impressive rocks, dese place is one of the most preferred places for a trip in the Mullerthal Region - Luxembourg's Little Switzerland.
Nowadays, when we talk about the Schiessentümpel, we also talk about the bridge and the waterfall. The sandstone bridge was built in 1879 and although it has no practical function in terms of mobility like other large bridges, it has been the symbol of the Mullerthal Region - Luxembourg Little Switzerland since 1879.
The photo was taken in late autumn with its beautiful colours. My inspiration to take this photo was to show it in its pure beauty. It looks like a simple photo, but a lot of attention was paid to the composition. Using a long shutter speed gives the waterfall a beautiful character. Because of the long shutter speed, it was good to find out if the weather was also windless, otherwise there would be motion blur in the leaves.
