Schloss Schönbrunn is one of Austria's most important cultural heritages. It has been one of the capital's busiest sights since the 1960s. The palace is located in the west of the city in the Hietzing district. Until 1642, the Katterburg, an estate of the Viennese mayor, stood here. The name Schönbrunn is said to go back to Emperor Matthias, who is said to have seen a beautiful spring here while hunting. Today, the palace has 1441 rooms of all types and sizes. In 1996, the palace and gardens were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Travel and landscape photography from over the world. Wide-angle landscapes, scarlet sunsets and panoramic city vistas inspire me. My style is characterized by intense colors and a high dynamic range.
