Panoramic photo of Schwerin Castle in the German city of Schwerin in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. With the last gimp of evening light, the castle appears to be made of gold.
The castle stands on an island in Lake Schwerin and for centuries it was the residence of the dukes and grand dukes of Mecklenburg and Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Now it is used as the seat of the parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Note. There are construction scaffolds in front of part of the castle and one of the towers is also surrounded by a construction scaffold.
Specialized in landscapes and nature, especially in the Netherlands. The Veluwe forests and the waterfront are common subjects, sometimes with the contrast of nature and human traces. Preferably photographed in the early morning or late evening, and under weather conditions that enhance the photograph.
