Seated among Navy and Ivory Waves by Mosaic Dialogue

A dark-haired woman sits within enormous navy-and-ivory waves of fabric, her simple blue bodice emerging from the sculptural pattern. I created this composition from ocean movement, couture volume and the hypnotic energy of alternating dark and light curves, simplifying the scene into confident shapes, rich colour fields and softly painterly edges. The limited palette gives the image a clear visual rhythm, while small variations in texture keep the surface warm and expressive. I wanted the artwork to feel serene, artistic and powerfully fluid, combining contemporary editorial clarity with the character of a handmade illustration. Negative space plays an important role: it gives the subject room to breathe and makes every line, gesture and decorative accent easier to appreciate. This piece can become a distinctive focal point in a bedroom, dressing room, hallway, studio or blue-toned living space. It works especially well with clean furniture, natural materials and interiors that welcome one memorable colour statement. From a distance, the silhouette has immediate graphic impact; seen closely, subtle brush-like details introduce gentleness and depth. A considered choice for collectors who enjoy modern figurative art, stylised storytelling, fashion-inspired composition and imaginative colour.
