Shanghai at night by TheXclusive Art

The ‘Shanghai by Night’ artwork brings the vibrant energy of the Chinese megacity to life in a sweeping, glittering cityscape, in which the Oriental Pearl Tower, the neon signs and the wet street combine to form an exciting and modern scene that immediately draws the viewer into the night. This remarkable artwork depicts the pink and blue illuminated tower at the centre, towering skyscrapers on either side, moving cars and luminous shop signs, whilst the reflections on the wet tarmac and the long streaks of light capture the city’s speed and atmosphere in a contemporary manner. The deep blue, purple and reddish-orange hues against the black tarmac give the whole a cinematic and futuristic feel that subtly yet powerfully reflects the dynamism and ambition of Shanghai.

The symmetry of the street and the mirror-like reflections draw the eye to the heart of the image, whilst the bright neon colours and deep darkness lend the composition a sense of depth and tension.

Neon light and deep shadows instantly lend a wall character and urban energy. In a modern living room, loft, office or studio featuring dark or minimalist elements, this piece on the wall makes the space feel larger and more urban.

World travellers, city dwellers and fans of futuristic neon art can bring the atmosphere of a night in Shanghai into their home with this artwork – an image that rekindles a longing for adventure every evening.
