About "Shimmer of the Dune"

About the artwork

This work, titled "Shimmer of the Dune", was created during an early morning walk along the coast, where the sun slowly brought the dune grass to life. What fascinates me is not the sharp image, but the movement, the vibration, the light playing between the blades. With a deliberate camera movement, I painted with light, rather than recording - a technique that brings me closer to experience than registration.

My inspiration comes from impressionism and abstract painting. Think Claude Monet, but also Gerhard Richter's colour intensity or Helen Frankenthaler's use of colour. In this visual language, I look for emotion, not recognisability. "Shimmer of the Dune" exudes warmth, movement and summer vivacity.

The work evokes an atmosphere of freedom and nature connection. It is like a memory of wind through your hair, the rustling of grasses, a moment of stillness in the midst of movement. It is precisely this paradox that makes this work special.

As wall art, it adds a lively yet meditative energy to your interior. The work speaks to the senses without being obtrusive - you keep looking, always discovering something new. For anyone who loves nature, colour and poetry in images, this is a powerful yet gentle statement on the wall.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
