About the artwork

Winter silence in the Soester Dunes. This impressive photograph captures the moment when the sun stands behind a bare tree, casting its branches in beautiful silhouette. The clear blue sky is subtly lifted by the soft backlight, which makes the colours go from a soft yellow, to deep blue. Aircraft stripes traverse the sky, while the dune hill at the bottom of the image enhances the serenity of winter nature. Perfect for those who want to experience the serenity of a winter day in nature, with a touch of poetry and silence.

This picture was taken on a clear winter afternoon. One of those where it is cold but does not feel cold and you breathe white clouds. One of those where, at the end of a walk under a blanket, you enjoy a steaming cup of hot chocolate with a big dollop of whipped cream, or a cup of snert with rye bread and Dutch cured bacon. One of those evenings when you really can't resist a second plate of kale with sausage. In short, a typically Dutch winter day that resulted in a beautiful winter photo of a characteristic tree.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
