About ‘Silhouettes on an empty beach’ by Erik Buitenhuis

The beach on the west side of Schiermonnikoog is very wide and peaceful.

The photograph conveys a sense of emptiness; the backlighting, with the sun just out of shot, casts shadows of the people. The light is very sharp; the sun is shining brightly. The image invites you to take a long walk along the beach

I’m an amateur but enjoy sharing my work with others, for a small fee (the vast majority of the costs are for materials and processing).
