About ‘Silver light on silent waves’ by Color Square

A tranquil sea stretches out beneath a heavily clouded sky in which shades of blue-grey gently merge into one another. The light seems to come from behind the clouds, diffuse and silvery, causing the water's surface to begin to glisten subtly. The horizon is barely defined; sky and sea merge into a dreamlike whole that exudes tranquillity and space.

In the foreground, low waves roll rhythmically forward. Their foamy edges light up in the cool light and form fine, clear lines against the deeper blue of the water. The brush structure is visible in the sky: broad, soft transitions suggest fog or an approaching storm. At the same time, the whole remains calm – there is movement, but no unrest. What is striking is the layering: multiple horizontal bands create depth and perspective. The light in the centre of the sea acts as a quiet focal point, a place where the eye and breath can rest for a moment. This image captures a timeless moment between menace and serenity – a sea that whispers rather than roars.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
