For the true lover of Deventer, this is a very familiar image; the view of Deventer's skyline from the ferry across the IJssel river. Every moment of the day you see different light, different waves, different amounts of water and different colours here. For me, this view continues to inspire me as an artist. The painting gives a warm feeling for the beautiful Hanseatic city of Deventer as it is today (still) and at the same time the nostalgia of the timeless aspect of this beautiful skyline and eternal river.

In a world full of distractions, I invite you to stand still and really observe. My paintings lead your eye to the distance, to a place where your mind can relax and give you that feeling of spaciousness and freedom I have when I am outside in nature.
