On the plateau of the Flatruet, Sweden's highest road' looking at the mountains towards the north, a small shower passed by which the strong wind transformed into a beautiful play of lines. The wind was also the only sound audible here with the occasional car. With a 360 degree panorama of beautiful landscapes around you, you quickly feel small and insignificant. Wherever you look the world is beautiful in every different way. Despite the cold and wind we were very lucky with a lot of blue in the sky and with that also a sun that made spots in the landscape of Sweden and Norway light up golden as if Mother Nature wanted us to pay attention to them. You could easily enjoy hours of this spectacle, but the cold and wind still make you look for the warmth of the car.
This picture was not taken just for the sake of it in Photoshop, but actually looked so impressive. I did adjust the colors slightly to create a slightly warmer image as this is more my style of image.
If you are visiting central Sweden don't forget to take this road and feel small for a moment at this highest point and enjoy the beautiful world around you. And if you look closely you might see some reindeer, (predatory) birds, foxes and with some luck even musk oxen.
