Depiction of a sloth bear in watercolour technique. The movable, elongated lips are an adaptation to eating habits. The main component of the food consists of termites, which are sucked out of their burrow. Painted with Schmincke watercolours on Hahnemuehle "Britannia" paper sheet.
The sloth bear is listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
