When everyone is still asleep, a flock of snow buntings dance above the low water (low tide) in Moddergat near the Wadden Sea. And announce the new day with their beautiful , flowing, dance. This area is a UNESCO world heritage site in the Netherlands, and like starlings, you can see these little birds moving very quickly, smoothly and fluidly through the air and settling down again. I think it is a magical sight! I wanted to photograph the Moddergat, this was a gift I received. I photographed this picture in High Key and then edited it to get this light, white effect. The feeling of freedom, but also the beautiful cooperation and sense of each other, evokes such a beautiful group of dancing birds, to me.
