"So happy together: Leaves in pastel colours" is a macro photo of two leaves of Bougainvillea. I came across this plant in Lanzarote. (This plant needs a warm climate and therefore does not grow in the Netherlands!) These leaves are stuck together in pairs.
This plant has cheerfully coloured bracts, these are around the real flowers. These bracts have fallen off the plant with the seeds and dried in the lovely warm Spanish sun. This has made the leaves more translucent and lighter in colour, and the veins can be seen much better as a result. The soft pink and orange pastel colours give a calm look to the photo. The leaves lie on a separate background, mirroring them in an abstract way. The mirror image looks almost painterly. If you zoom in on the photo, this is easy to see. The background also has a pastel colour, which I would personally describe as light turquoise.
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration on, say, aluminium or artframe in the bedroom, dining room or just above the sofa or dresser in the living room! Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office, waiting room or practice room!
