The complex on Potsdamer Platz houses offices, stores and restaurants.
The oval forum, dominated by steel and glass, belongs to the public space and is therefore not closed off from the surrounding streets. The roof structure is particularly daring. A fan-shaped tent roof of tarpaulin is attached with anchors to a steel ring, which in turn is attached to the surrounding buildings. The roof is meant to symbolize Japan's sacred mountain, Fuji.
In the evening, the roof is illuminated alternately with different colors in spectacular fashion.
