Soothing Still Life: Hazel Branches in a Rustic Vase

by Studio Pieternel

● Exclusive design for Werk aan de Muur / Art Heroes

This piece features a handcrafted, dark grey ceramic vase positioned centrally on a sturdy wooden table. The vase contains gracefully branched hazel twigs with characteristic yellow catkins and subtle red buds.

The background combines a warm linen-textured surface with soft, graphic brushstrokes in shades of grey. A subtle oriental stamp and calligraphy in the corner complete the balanced composition.

This art form, inspired by traditions such as Japanese Sumi-e and classical printmaking, brings a minimalist and poetic still life to life. The composition emphasises simplicity, the beauty of nature and a refined balance between organic forms and tranquil lines.

This design complements popular interior trends such as Japandi, Wabi-Sabi, Scandinavian design and botanical interiors beautifully. Thanks to its neutral sand and wood tones, the artwork instantly brings a calm, harmonious atmosphere to the living room, hallway, workspace or bedroom.

This artwork is available in almost any size, and there is a choice of many high-quality finishes, such as: wallpaper, canvas, ArtFrame, aluminium, acrylic glass and photo print.
