* Sorapissee Panorama
A small mountain lake in the high mountains of the Dolomites in South Tyrol / Italy.
The lake is named after the mountain group of the same name, the so-called " Sorapis Group " very close to Cortina d'Ampezzo.
The small mountain lake is known for its intense colours ranging from blue turquoise to aquamarine / aquamarine blue.
The unique colouring occurs mainly in spring when the snow begins to melt from the nearby glacier and calcareous water flows into the lake.
The lake is framed like a little jewel by the Sorapis group, in which the peak Dito di Dio (Finger of God) stands out proudly.
The picture was taken in the morning shortly after sunrise when the lake is still soft and calm with a slight reflection in front of you.
Many small mountain flowers / alpine flowers open their blossoms here with the early morning light and complement the otherwise blue turquoise cyan and aquamarine grey colours with their mostly white yellow and orange yellow purple and lilac flowers.
