So here is the thing. Last year I bought some pots of bright pink Osteospermum, South African daisy flowers. I got them from a local market here in Italy and they were gorgeous. And then Barnet Boy over watered them! The flowers disappeared quickly and while the plants survived the flowers did not return.
I wasn't sure if they would overwinter, but we had a mild winter with no snow and I was delighted when flower buds appeared in late February. Six weeks later, at the time I took the photograph on which to base this image, they were still flowering and still beautiful. Long may it continue!
