Kawah Putih, located in the mountainous region of Ciwidey near Bandung, is a unique volcanic crater lake. Seen from above, it reveals all its visual intensity: an expanse of milky turquoise water, mottled with yellow traces of sulphur, stands out against a backdrop of wooded hills. The striking contrast between the brilliant colours of the lake and the deep green of the surrounding forests creates an atmosphere that is both bewitching and mysterious. Kawah Putih was formed by the eruption of Mount Patuha, whose volcanic activity is still evident in the fumes and smell of sulphur. The site is renowned not only for its exceptional natural beauty, but also for the sensory experience it provides: an almost unreal atmosphere of fascination and awe in the face of the forces of the Earth. The site attracts travellers from all over the world, who come to admire this natural jewel of Indonesia and enjoy its breathtaking panoramas.
