Spectrum Mind

by INGO

Discover the dynamic fusion of raw street culture and spiritual depth with “Spectrum Mind”.
This powerful portrait depicts a young woman against a weathered urban backdrop. Her calm, determined gaze contrasts with her short, rebellious hairstyle, in which an explosion of rainbow and neon colours symbolises her creativity and ideas. Delicate geometric tattoos and mandala-like patterns on her face and neck form a striking contrast to the organic chaos of the city.
The background exudes the authentic atmosphere of New York City. Amidst bright splashes of paint, dripping graffiti tags and torn posters, recognisable elements such as the skyline, the Brooklyn Bridge and a subtle peace sign emerge. Statements such as “More Colour Less Hate” and “Art, People, Ideas Change Cities” reinforce the inspiring, positive message. “Spectrum Mind” is an ode to individuality, creativity and the multi-layered identity of the modern city-dweller.

Art style used: Mixed Media & Street Art Illustration: a combination of digital portraiture and the raw expression of urban graffiti. The style is characterised by layering: weathered concrete, stencils, typography and abstract splatters are combined with the clean lines of Sacred Geometry, such as the Flower of Life. Vivid contrasting colours evoke pop art, whilst the refined lines give the portrait a modern, graphic look.
