The Wild Atlantic Way passes right by the narrow peninsula of St. John's Point. To the south end of the peninsula, actually St. John's Point, the path leads through a typical Irish landscape. From here you always have the best view of McSwyne's Bay and the adjacent coast of Slieve League. The Killaghtee Cross, the remains of the walls of McSwyne's Castle, a dream beach (Coral Beach) and finally the lighthouse are the attractions of the peninsula. The lighthouse offers an impressive panoramic view over Donegal Bay.
