I made this image facing St Marks Basilica when the square was still and the sky moved into deep blue. Lamps set the edges of the piazza while the facade opened its detail. I waited for the moment when the light felt even and the architecture could speak without distraction.
A steady support and a careful aperture keep clarity across the frame. Notice the rhythm of arches, the faint glow near the mosaics, and a narrow channel of sky that holds the composition. I kept color balanced so the print would sit well in modern spaces.
The mood I wanted is serene and present. For me this photograph is about meeting a famous place at a quiet hour and letting patience reveal what is already there.
