About the artwork

The painting shows a man and a woman standing side by side, their bodies clad only in simple underwear. The woman wears an impressive, ornamental hat with ornate, curved horns that give her an almost regal appearance. Her face is stern, her eyes resting on a point outside the canvas, as if she were somewhere else. Next to her stands the man, his countenance hidden behind a mysterious heart-shaped mask, also fitted with horns. The mask hides his expression, leaving his intention unclear.

They stand on a rough, raw floor, while behind them rises a dark wall, solid and impenetrable. The atmosphere is charged, as if they are part of a mysterious ritual or a forgotten myth. Their shabby clothing contrasts with the grotesque splendour of their headdresses, creating a sense of vulnerability and strength at once. What do their horns mean? Are they lovers, strangers, or figures from a dream?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
