About ‘Stare down’ by Sabrine Strijbos

The trip to South Africa inspired me to start painting wildlife. I capture the beautiful, stern heads and penetrating looks of lions on canvas. I also use metallic, golden colors, so the lion really shines off the canvas.

I use the palette knife with which I get the paint on the canvas thickly and with large strokes.
