Tableau showing a cat's head wine bottle from the seventeenth century. This bottle was in use from around 1680 to 1740. The English name for such bottles are "onionbottle" or "Dutch onionbottle" . The rummer filled with wine and a glass bowl filled with a bunch of grapes. The red colour of the vine tomatoes adds a special tone to the whole.
