About ‘Stump and a tree on a sand drift’ by Gerard de Zwaan

I took this picture on the beekhuizerzand near Harderwijk on the Veluwe. I was sitting on a fairly high dune which is also a viewpoint, I have chosen to sit low on this dune. I have also chosen to make this photo in 16:9. As you can see it was also beautiful sunny weather when I took this photo, it was just not spring on this beautiful…

Welcome to my shop. My name is Gerard de Zwaan and I was born in 1983 in the Veluwe town of Harderwijk where I grew up and still live. I started photography in 2013. My first camera was a Nikon D3200 which I still own and is now as a spare camera, currently I use a Nikon D7200. Every now and then I also use 1 or 2 Nikon SB700 reportage flash units to highlight a subject. From the start I mainly do Nature Photography, it is mainly landscapes what I photograph, the Veluwe…
