A sulfur miner at Mount Ijen on its way to start the 300 m (980 ft) descend from the crater rim. Miners carry as much Sulfur as they can, on average 70-90 kg, to earn only as little as 10 euros / 12 dollars. The weighing point is a 3 km walk down the mountain, most miners walk twice a day.
I'm a landscape photographer, but I also enjoy nature, the stars, people.. :)
Born in Arnhem, studied in Enschede and now I live in the center of the Netherlands, Utrecht.
Although the Netherlands is beautiful, I like to seek stunning landscapes on my travels and I would like to them share them with you!
My goal is to not just take pictures of what nature has given us but tell stories about them. I focus mostly on landscapes but I enjoy every string attached.
