About ‘Sun roses against a green background’ by Andreas Paul
The green background makes the pink and yellow of the sun rose glow and vibrate. There is only a small area of sharp focus; the eye keeps refocusing and is forced to piece together an overall picture. Visual habits are subverted. Proportions are lost; the small becomes large, oversized, defying the familiar.
