Sunlight behind the arch

by AiArtLand

A large, round ochre-coloured arch frames a deep blue door in a sun-drenched courtyard in southern Italy. To the left stands an olive tree in a weathered earthenware pot; small pink blossoms and their shadows fall across the light-coloured wall. Terracotta tiles lead up to the threshold, creating a tranquil rhythm which, together with the clean-lined façade, forms a graphic composition. The warm evening light casts sharp, long shadows across the floor. Ochre, coral and cream take on a fresh, striking appearance against the cobalt blue. This mid-century modern wall decoration combines Mediterranean architecture with the clean lines and warm colours of modernist illustrations. The vertical composition adds height to a room and works well as an eye-catcher in the living room, hall or bedroom. Thanks to the calm interplay of lines and the limited colour palette, the piece remains a pleasure to look at and is easy to combine with wood, linen and neutral walls. The blue door draws the eye to the centre, whilst the arch acts as a natural frame within the image. An atmospheric piece of art for lovers of Italy, sunny courtyards and timeless modern design.
