Dark Purple Violet - a single dark purple violet lit by the sun from behind. We have two kinds of wild violets in our garden. The early blooming soft purple and white and this late blooming darker violet. This darker variety blooms are also a little smaller in size. The sun is shining through this violet from behind and illuminates the delicate petals. The purple violet is also called the common blue violet or in latin Viola sororia. It is a low growing perennial plant. The meaning of the purple violet is Modesty" and "Humility.
