Everyone has his or her places of longing, where you have to go again and again. You are really drawn to them. A little piece of your heart stays there.
That's the island of Rügen in the Baltic Sea for me. Chalk cliffs that keep recreating themselves. Changing. Where new things emerge from demolitions. Nature reflects transience.
The Baltic Sea in shades from blue to green. Different every day, enchanting every day. Erratic blocks, chicken gods and donkey wedges. Yes, also fish rolls and Bodden perch. Rain and sun, gladly in alternation. A fresh breeze. A sandy beach and a beach chair. Amber and sea buckthorn. For this sunrise, we started early, in the middle of the night. But it was worth it, more than worth it. Quite north, not far from the Knaus camping site with a view towards Cape Arkona.
What a moment of happiness! What an experience! Sitting and marvelling. And of course, taking a photo! For me and you!
