This photo of a sunset on Lake Titicaca was made during a tour in Peru, in May 2014.
During my trip in Peru we stayed a few days on the island of Amantani located in Lake Titicaca. We 'lived' at homes of traditional families, and that was a nice experience. The contact with these people was very nice. After we had been playing a number of volleyball matches with the local people (at 3800 meters) during the afternoon, we could go and see the sunset. I walked down to the beach along with a travelling companion to gain a free composition.
The photo was taken using a tripod, remote control and a 10-stop neutral density filter. The shutter speed used is 65 seconds and the aperture f11.
