View of Wolfshuis, Bemelen
On the plateau between Sibbe and Wolfshuis, the landscape breathes silence. The horizon lies wide and open, the lines of the land gently undulating under the warm light of the evening sun. The grass catches the gold of the day, the sky slowly turning orange and pink as the contours fade in the descending light.
It is a moment when time seems to slow down. The wind still moves only hesitantly across the field, the sounds become thinner, the sky fuller of light. What remains is a balance between calm and movement, between proximity and distance.
In this stillness lurks something lasting-the realisation that the landscape is not only seen, but also felt. That light, space and silence touch and leave a form of memory that does not disappear when the sun goes down.
An image of simplicity, of balance. A brief moment at the end of the day, when the world seems to come to a standstill, and everything dissolves into light.
