About ‘Sunset in lake’ by Jim Plaum

red, orange and gold, illuminating the horizon as if the sky were on fire. The sun is low, casting an intense light across the water. Instead of a calm reflection, you see how the waves and ripples in the lake break and distort the sunlight. The reflection of the sunset dances across the surface, undulating and moving, making it seem as if the fire of the sky is spreading across the water. The play of light and movement creates a dynamic and vivid image: brightly coloured sweeps of orange and red flicker across the waves. At the lake's edge, dark silhouettes of trees or shorelines stand out, providing additional contrast to the bright play of colours. The whole picture exudes energy, as if nature itself comes alive one last time before night falls. This picture shows not only the beauty of light, but also the power of movement in the landscape.
