About ‘Sunset in the Betuwe’ by Jacques Jullens

According to Weatherpro it was partly cloudy and with a bit of luck the sun would find its way around 5.56 this morning.

I did notice that there was an extra layer of clouds slowly drifting in my direction, but I was already dressed at 4.30 am, thermos filled, bread made, so off I went anyway.

Once I arrived it was still nice and orange at the horizon, but the cloud layer had already reached my spot and from 05.30 it first started to splash in a very civilized way, but eventually towards sunrise it turned into a reasonable downpour.
