This atmospheric photograph captures a peaceful sunset on the coast of Texel, where the last rays of sunlight paint the horizon a golden orange. The calm sea, the wide beach and the silhouettes of the dune vegetation create a minimalist, natural composition full of tranquillity and space. About Jeroen Berendse:
 In my day job, I’m a marketer. That means listening and observing customers closely, and using that knowledge to devise relevant solutions. As a photographer, I actually do the same thing, with the difference that I mainly listen closely to myself.  

Photography is a way of telling a story. Captured in the perfect still image. A good photo takes you in your mind to a special place in the world, an event that makes you smile or sets your creative mind to work. And because this is very personal, the same photo evokes a unique experience and feeling in everyone. For the photographer, but also for the viewer.
