About "Sunset on the Heimanswetering lakeside"

About the artwork

The Vrouwgeest mill located on the Heimanswetering in Alphen aan den Rijn. Beautiful sunset with a nice cloudy sky. The ground-sailer type mill was built in 1797 and is owned and maintained by the Rijnlandse Molenstichting (Rhineland Windmill Foundation). The mill is also known as the Vrolijk Mill because it has been inhabited by the Vrolijk family for six generations. The Heimanswetering (Heimanswetering) connects the Oude Rijn and the Braassemermeer, a route that used to be used by oil tankers sailing to Schiphol Airport. Nowadays, this is done on land and is a lot safer. Mills are often an inspiration for me to capture them as beautifully as possible. The best moments of the day are usually in the morning and in the evening at sunrise and sunset. By using a grey gradient filter when taking the photo, the sky is compensated for in the exposure. The calm weather and slightly slower shutter speed ensure a calm image.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
