We took this photo while shooting a video on slow shutter speeds. The photo was taken just before sunset.
It often happens that the sun disappears behind the clouds just before sunset. With the sun out, a different picture would have appeared. But as nature photographers, we simply work with what nature has to offer.
This photo stands out because of its depth. In the front of the photo you can see the beach in the lowest layer. Above it, the retreating water. The resulting lines create the depth.
From a young age, I have loved being outdoors. At any time of the day and at any time of the year. My first experiences with photography date back to the analogue era. With the arrival of the digital camera the possibilities and my interest in photography increased.
At that time, I gained a greater appreciation for the nature around us. Landscapes soon became my most photographed subject. With very thorough technical knowledge, I lay the foundation for a beautiful and appealing picture. In doing so, I often search for my creative boundaries, which I push further and further.
Besides a technically well-crafted and appealing photo, I find it a challenge to photograph when the light and conditions are not as good. Because those moments are the most.
Photography for me is much more than just capturing the landscape. The preparation, being outside and the photographing itself are the core. The editing also plays an important role and I have fun doing it. Photography is digital and you can hardly escape doing the whole process, from preparation to post processing, all by yourself.
Since 2010 I share my passion for landscape photography in my workshops and courses. I work in small groups or in a one-on-one situation. You as a photographer are central and I try to help you as much as possible. With Yvonne I make sure you learn as much as possible in a short time and keep enjoying photographing and moving.
