I had expected rain for my entire trip to Edinburgh, but to my surprise, the weather turned out to be beautiful. On the first evening of my trip, I made my way up Calton Hill, hoping for a perfect view of the city's skyline. The iconic Dugald Stewart Monument stood in the foreground, framing the scene, while the spires of the historic Old Town and the silhouette of Edinburgh Castle rose above the city in the distance. The sunset didn’t disappoint, painting the sky with beautiful colors that lingered long after the sun had dipped below the horizon.
