About ‘Surreal mermaids’ by Wigulins Amazing Art

In this image, I have tried to portray a mixture of nostalgia and humour by showing three women in colourful, retro-inspired swimming costumes. The scene is set at the edge of a pool, with the water coming up to the women's knees. Each woman wears an eye-catching swim cap that emphasises her personality and individual style: the woman on the left wears an orange suit with matching ears, the woman in the middle wears a red and white polka-dotted suit and holds a yellow ball, while the woman on the right has chosen a black and white striped suit.

The painting is in a modern, figurative style, characterised by the soft, smooth lines and vibrant colours. I deliberately opted for a realistic, yet slightly exaggerated depiction to emphasise the characters' idiosyncrasies and charm. The women's facial expressions are serious, which creates an interesting contrast to the playful outfits and emphasises the complexity of the characters.

The background is blurred, with abstract circles reminiscent of lights or bubbles, giving the image a dreamy quality. These elements direct the focus onto the three main characters and leave room for interpretation.

With this work, I want to celebrate the beauty and diversity of human bodies while creating a humorous and affectionate homage to times gone by. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
