The Geierlay or the Hängeseilbrücke Geierlay suspension bridge is a suspension bridge for pedestrians between the Hunsrücker towns of Mörsdorf and Sosberg. The bridge spans the Mörsdorfer Bachtal. The bridge can be walked free of charge. The idea to build a suspension bridge arose as part of the village renovation in 2006, but was rejected because it would not be feasible. Three citizens from the municipality, including the later mayor, took up the idea again in 2010. In the same year, the city council decided to turn the idea into a plan.
Construction of the bridge began at the end of May 2015 and was opened on 3 October 2015. The bridge is 360 meters long and 100 meters high.
