About ‘Swans in evening light’ by Monique Folkerts

Swan pair with chick in evening light. I came across this one during a city walk in Apeldoorn during the Golden Hour. Of the photos I have shot of these swans, by far this is my own favourite.

The composition with the chick close to its mother combined with the light and shadows gives the photo a warm, soothing feeling. A serenity. Nature as it is, in its purest and most beautiful form. And at the same time, a togetherness of parenthood from the swan couple.

Can you already see this hanging on your wall and, when you look at it, unwind yourself with a cup of tea?

Hi, I am Monique Folkerts, living in beautiful Amersfoort. I mainly shoot nature photography, I love going outside for this. During a nice walk, my camera is always with me, and I get inspired by what I see around me!
The passion of photography was there from an early age, I used to travel to Kenya with my father's analogue camera. After that, I used his digital camera several times before I had my own.
I also do pet photography.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
