Moving moments, space as polished melancholy
The prominent presence of space is striking in the work. Places, objects, paintings indicate, in a spherical, suggestive way, especially the space in themselves and that of their surroundings. Abstractions of form, sometimes laboriously recognizable, show us other sides, meanings of a work of art. Thus, some paintings present themselves in the pictures as spatial work. And vice versa: spatial work sometimes presents itself as flat, objects become drawings. As a result, the images are more diffuse, emptier, and, due to the presence of mostly surfaces, drenched in a vibrating tension. Space, if shown in the right way, is capable of showing so much, of telling so much.
