The Taj Mahal is the crown jewel of Indian architecture. It is an Islamic ivory-white marble mausoleum located on the right bank of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. Built in 1632 by order of Shah Jahan as a tomb for his beloved wife Muntaz Mahal.
