This photo was taken at Strijp-S during Glow 2016 in Eindhoven.
The installation consisted of long, hanging light tubes in a dark space.
By playing with the camera and quietly zooming out, the straight lines changed into soft, warm surfaces. This created an abstract image full of depth.
Tangerine Twist Tubes 3 is all about rhythm and direction.
The orange strips run forward and pull you into the picture. They form a wall of light that feels both powerful and calm at the same time.
An image that moves without really moving.
For me, this work is about attention:
You see light, but you feel space.
You look at lines, but you experience atmosphere.
The colour takes you away and makes you stop for a moment.
Together with the other photos in the Tangerine Twist Tubes collection, this work forms a warm, powerful and contemporary series that shows how light, colour and movement can transform a space.
Each photograph tells the same story, but in its own way.
