The Maashorst nature reserve is home to herds of tauros that provide grazing there. Several times a day the herd is on the move to go from one place to another.
With the lead cow in front, the entire herd can be seen walking in a long procession behind her. The landscape is slowly starting to change as we are already heading towards the cold months.
The tauros is the re-bred auroch which is used for grazing in some nature reserves in the Netherlands and abroad.
As a photographer I have been photographing large grazers in all nature reserves in the Netherlands in recent years, of which the Maashorst near Uden is my home base.
