The Teide National Park on Tenerife is known for its unique flora, in particular the wildpret's viper's bugloss (Echium wildpretii), a plant that can only be found in this region. This impressive plant blooms from June to August and transforms the landscape into a spectacular sea of purple-red flowers. The viper's bugloss, also known as tajinaste, reaches a height of up to three metres and is a symbol of pride for the locals. Its flowering season offers an excellent opportunity to experience the biodiversity and natural beauty of the national park.
